Appointments can be scheduled up to 3 days in advance. If you choose to be placed on the waitlist, you will be notified via email when your requested appointment window becomes available.  You will still need to RSVP to secure the available appointment. 

Please be advised that the test for COVID 19 offered by the City of Torrance is supported by the Medical Director for the Torrance FIre Department. We have a limited number of in-home tests and they are reserved for our most at-risk residents. 

By requesting a test, you are confirming that you are:

1. A Torrance Resident
2. 65 or Older
3. Unable to see your primary care physician
4. Don’t have the ability to travel to a local testing site, and
5. Currently have one of the following flu-like symptoms: 

• Temperature of >100*F
• Cough
• Fever
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Chills
• Respiratory issues, or
• General fatigue

To qualify for the test, these conditions should be acute in nature, not a long term or chronic issue. 

COVID-19 tests will not indicate if you have been exposed to COVID-19, they will only test if you are CURRENTLY COVID positive. 

**These tests are reserved for Torrance residents WHO ARE CURRENTLY ILL WITH FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS. If you are not experiencing flu-like symptoms at the time of your appointment, your test will be cancelled.
