WELCOME TO TORRANCE FROST FEST 1-DAY CAMPS!

Join your favorite recreation staff for days filled with festive crafts, games and winter activities! Frost Fest will take place at Greenwood Park, and campers will be placed in group activity rotations based on grade (1 through 8).  Pick one or all three days of camp! 

Torrance Day Camp (Grades 1-5) - Single Days | 9am-4pm | Greenwood Park, 1520 Greenwood Ave.

Campers are placed in groups based on age. The groups will rotate through the various activities each day. Campers will check in at Room 29. 

Teen Day Camp (Grades 6-8)- Single Day | 9am-4pm | Greenwood Park, 1520 Greenwood Ave.

Middle school youth in 6th (must be enrolled in 6th grade Fall 2024), 7th or 8th grade will enjoy a winter break of fun activities with teens their age. If weather permits, campers may have short walking field trips. Campers will check in at Greenwood Park Room 28. 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Winter Camp Registration begins on Tuesday, November 19 for Torrance Residents and on Tuesday, December 3 for Non-Residents. Proof of residency is required. The Registration Office is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. alternating with a closed Friday every other week. The Registration Office will be closed: November 1, 15, 28 and 29; December 13, 24, 25 and 27. Fees and Registration Information

The fees listed represent cost for residents (R)/non-residents (NR). New enrollments and additions MUST be made by 5:00 pm the Thursday prior to the start of camp.

Financial assistance may be available to Torrance residents for children under the age of 18 years of age for Torrance Community Services Department classes and programs.  Guidelines have been established to assist families who are residents of the City of Torrance.  Scholarships are based on need, merit, and availability of funding.  Click here for the Community Services Department Scholarship Guidelines and Application.

Day Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy

You must call the Registration Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of camp if you wish to cancel, obtain a credit on account OR obtain a refund. No credits or refunds will be issued after this time.  A 20% administrative fee will be deducted for each week in which a refund is given.

 GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Sign in and out will take place at the door or outside of the camp room.
• Campers will need to bring a lunch, snacks and water each day. Snacks will not be provided by camp.
• Late fees are charged per camper beginning at 4:01 p.m. Please be prompt in signing out your child.
• All requests for refunds, credits and transfers must be made at least one week before the camp begins. 
• Camps are subject to change, cancelation or modification.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Please bring a completed Camper Emergency Form to the first day of camp.
• If your child needs to take medication while at camp, please complete the Medication Policy.
• If your child has a severe allergy, please complete the Severe Allergy Medication Form.

BEFORE ARRIVING TO CAMP:

• Complete the Camper Emergency Form. 
• Complete the Day Camp Program Participant Agreement (last page of the Parent/Guardian Camp Handbook).
• Please apply sunscreen for your camper. Staff are no longer allowed to assist with sunscreen application, but they will remind the participants to reapply throughout the day.
• Please keep your camper at home if they are sick.
