On November 14, 2023, Councilmember Aurelio Mattucci received concurrence from his colleagues to direct staff to perform a cost and feasibility study and research the best way to install a webcam somewhere in Torrance as a means of promoting the City in a visual medium. After researching the best methods, it was determined at the March 26, 2024 City Council Meeting that Los Arboles, commonly referred as Rocketship Park would be the perfect location for a webcam.
