Senior citizens and their families now have greater access to information through the Focal Point on Aging program. The Focal Point on Aging is an information and referral program where older adults, caregivers, and their families can obtain ready access to a full range of available services including: transportation, housing, Meals-On-Wheels, health care, companion care, Medicare, social and legal services, HMO's, and more.
The Focal Point program is housed in the Russ Nolte Annex, located at 1339 Post Avenue, next to the Bartlett Senior Citizens Center in downtown Torrance. Volunteer staff is available to answer questions and provide information by phone only, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

What Focal Point Services Are Available?
The Focal Point Program provides ready access to a full range of available services that reflect the needs of older residents including transportation, housing, health care, Meals-On-Wheels, HMO's, Medicare, social legal services, and more.
The Focal Point volunteers are trained to receive telephone inquiries, make an accurate initial assessment of a person's needs, and refer that person to appropriate services.
The Focal Point is sponsored by the Torrance Commission on Aging in cooperation with the Torrance Community Services Department.
