Registration is currently closed. Torrance Torpedoes will return in Summer 2025. 

The swim team will teach all four swim strokes freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Coaches will work closely with swimmers to ensure proper body positioning, arm movements and kicks. Swimmers are introduced to proper diving and turning techniques essential for competitive races. Swimmers engage in interval training to improve their cardiovascular fitness and stamina. While not a formal team, participants are encouraged to develop camaraderie and teamwork. Swimmers learn to set realistic goals and work towards achieving them.
