This course is designed for youth aged 11 to 14 looking for babysitting preparedness for children ages 3 and up. The course includes planning for a babysitting job, knowing what to expect from children of all ages, selecting toys and games, planning fun recreational activities, learning how to prevent accidents and child safety training. Participants will receive a notebook with materials discussed in class, babysitting tote, emergency contact sheets, business cards and a Certificate of Completion. Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes and a sack lunch with a drink are required each day.  This program follows protocols set by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.  

Dates:  Monday - Thursday

• Class 1 : July 10 -13
• Class 2: July 24 - 27
• Class 3: August 7 -10

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

Fee: $100.00 Residents / $110.00  Non-Residents

Location:  THE ATTIC 2320 West Carson Street, Torrance CA 90501

General Information:

• Each class is limited to 14 students with 2 staff.
• Students  will need to bring a lunch, snacks and water each day.
• Please bring a completed BPC Emergency Form and  Waiver Form to the first day of class.
• The program ends promptly at 2:00 p.m. After the program is completed, please DO NOT congregate.

Before arriving to your Babysitting Preparedness Course:

• Complete the Babysitting Prep Course Emergency Form/Waiver Form.
• Please keep your students at home if they are sick.
