The City of Torrance Picnic Areas are available for reservations. Groups larger than 100 please contact Facility Booking for more information.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION?

If your group size is 25(+) or if you plan on having a bouncer/ jumper then a reservation is required. A picnic reservation alone does NOT include a bouncer/jumper automatically. A separate bouncer/jumper permit purchase is required at the time of picnic reservation purchase. Facility Booking is closed on weekends, therefore bouncer/jumper permits cannot be added on the day of or after the permit date.

WHICH PARKS CAN I RESERVE FOR MY EVENT?

Please see Picnic Rules and Policies for list of reservable parks.  Torrance Residents can book online or in person up to nine (9) months in advance and Non-Torrance Residents can book up to two (2) months in advance. The very latest to make any Picnic Reservation is the Monday 4pm prior to the upcoming weekend.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

• The City of Torrance does not allow any rock climbers, dunk tanks, obstacle courses, laser tag, nerf guns/ nerf gun courses, giant hamster balls, trackless trains, game trucks or oversized inflatable items. 

• The delivery and use of Event tents, banquet seating (tables and chairs) are strictly prohibited and not approved inside any City of Torrance Parks. Only a single 10x10 EZ-Up canopy is permitted. 

• Bouncer permits are limited. Please see individual parks for further information.

• El Nido Park - A new picnic area is planned for the area adjacent to the new playground

• The updated Sur La Brea Park playground

• Sunnyglen Park - Parks Services will be replacing sidewalk at the park. Demolition and construction will be ongoing. For a map of improvements click here or contact the Facility Booking Office
