THE ATTIC CAFÉ is situated inside THE ATTIC and sells an assortment of inexpensive light meals, snacks and beverages, which are available after school. Surrounding THE ATTIC CAFÉ is a comfortable setting with tables and chairs that give students the opportunity to study or hangout. This wonderful atmosphere will provide for a variety of entertainment and games that everyone can enjoy.

VOLUNTEER CAFÉ TRAINING PROGRAM

THE ATTIC CAFÉ is seeking responsible high school students to participate in a Volunteer Cafe Training Program sponsored by the Recreation Services Division. The Café Training Program is designed to provide the participants with on-the-job training in the food service business. Participants will have an excellent opportunity to serve the community and receive food service and customer service training experiences in a café setting.
The training program consists of 6 days (20 hours) of instruction in such areas as customer service, basic food preparation, food handling procedures, restaurant/café policies and valuable leadership skills. After completion of this training, volunteers serve for 8 weeks assisting Recreation Café Staff. Volunteers are limited to 3-5 days per week of service, a total of 150 hours. Participants will receive a name badge to be worn during service hours.
