December 26, 2023 to January 18, 2024
(These dates apply only if you are not able to use your green waste recycling container)
After January 18, 2024, unflocked trees must be cut up and placed in the green waste container.
Please use your green waste recycling container to recycle your unflocked Christmas tree at any time. Flocked trees CANNOT be recycled If flocked, cut the tree in half and place in your black refuse container.
- Trees six (6) feet or smaller can be placed directly into your green waste container and will be collected during normal collection times.
To Recycle:
- Trees must be unflocked, less than six feet long (without cutting), no stands, tinsel, or ornaments.
If not using your green waste container:
- Place the tree at the curb at least four feet from your collection containers by 7:00 a.m. on your regularly scheduled collection day. A separate truck will collect the trees to use as mulch and landfill cover.
