Colleen FarrellColleen Farrell is the producer, writer and host of the Centennial Programs, a year-long documentary series designed to celebrate and commemorate the 2012 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the city of Torrance. This series, which includes Oral Histories, History Minutes and Roundtable Discussions, highlights the people and places significant to the city's past, present and future.

Colleen began her career as an intern at CitiCABLE upon graduating from University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Communications with a degree in broadcast journalism.  From there she worked as a general assignment reporter at KNDU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Kennewick, Washington. She then went on to work as a general assignment reporter at KPIC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Roseburg, Oregon. Next she moved east to the resort community of Bend, Oregon where she spent the next two years as the 11 p.m. anchor/producer and health reporter at NBC affiliate KTVZ-TV.

Ready to return to her native city Los Angeles, in 1998 Colleen moved back to Southern California and decided to "join the other side," providing corporate America with strategies on improving relationships with their customers and audiences in the media. As a member of the award-winning account teams at public relations firms Golin Harris and Allison & Partners, she developed strategic media relations and marketing campaigns for blue-chip clients, including Nintendo of America, Nestlé USA, outdoor recreation leader Affinity, Sony Electronics, The Vitamin Shoppe and Chapman University College.

A graduate of Torrance High School, Colleen is enthusiastic about producing programming for a city that is so close to her heart. In her spare time, she embraces the Southern California lifestyle by enjoying yoga, beach volleyball, tennis and skiing. She also loves traveling and cooking.
