Bicycle theft is a familiar property crime in the City of Torrance. Absent a police report, it is often difficult to identify a bicycle as stolen for the purpose of returning it to its rightful owner. In an effort to provide more resources to victims of bicycle theft, the Torrance Police Department is reaching out to community members to share information about their bike on our website or in person.

In Person Option:  The resident can bring his or her bike into the station and will be directed to the Traffic office.  A Department member, in the Traffic Division, will take down the required information and then place a registration sticker on the underside of the lower frame (keeping it discreet in hopes that it will not be removed).  The bike information will then be entered into our database and will be used to reunite the owners with their bicycles when they are recovered.
