In addition to fire suppression, hazardous materials, emergency medical, and technical rescue emergency response, the Torrance Fire Department responds to a host of other miscellaneous or unusual incidents including:

• Children locked in vehicles
• Flooding due to natural causes, broken water pipes, etc.
• Ladder assist for the Police Department
• Disabled persons needing non-medical assistance getting up off the floor, back in bed, etc.
• Fire protection system malfunctions
