Annual Inspections
We are committed to conducting over 8,000 annual inspections in the city of Torrance. These inspections also include our new businesses. We strive to provide quality inspection service to our community which is part of Our Mission to provide life safety services and reduce hazards.same time we can educate people about the value of fire sprinklers, maintaining exits, and other fire safety features of their environment.
Different areas of Torrance are handled by different inspectors. To see which inspector is assigned to your area, please refer to the following map:
If the building is a high-rise, four stories or above, it must be inspected by the senior fire investigator or the senior fire prevention officer.
5 Year Testing on Sprinkler Systems
The following guideline shall be referenced as the standard operating procedure to conduct five-year tests of fire sprinkler systems. Only buildings with an NFPA 13 or NFPA 13R system are covered by this guideline; it does not apply to buildings with an NFPA 13D system.
