As liaison to the Civil Service Commission, facilitates all regular business for the Civil Service Commission and the Employee Relations Committee
Interprets, researches, and proposes changes to the Torrance Municipal Code
Maintains lists of qualified applicants and refer eligible candidates to departments when necessary to fill vacancies
Produces annual update to the City’s Equal Employment Opportunity Plan
Coordinates the City-wide Volunteer Program
Training and Development Support
Supports Torrance University’s Training Team in designing and implementing comprehensive employee training and development programs to enhance skills and prepare employees for career development and encourages continuous learning opportunities
