Pie Chart of Measure SST Investments by Project Type

The City’s five-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget provides a financial plan for the acquisition, expansion or rehabilitation of land, buildings, and other major infrastructure. Each Capital Project is organized by Capital Project Type (i.e. Parks, Facilities, Public Right of Way) and then by Project Location.

By organizing our projects in this manner, the City can provide the public with enhanced, live access to efforts underway through a web-based interactive map. This map provides users with details on each project including the description of activities taking place, the projects budget, and amounts invested to date.

The City’s  most recently adopted budget includes a commitment of $7.8 million in funding made available by Measure SST, a 0.50% sales tax approved by Torrance voters in 2022. In total, the adopted budget commits $66.8 million worth of investments across the City. Please visit our Capital Improvement Plan Dashboard to check in on the status of many efforts citywide.
