Torrance, Calif., October 30, 2024 – The City of Torrance invites members of the media to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the Interstate 405 at 182nd Street and Crenshaw Boulevard Operational Improvement Project.
This $59 million project, initiated in August 2021, aims to alleviate congestion, improve traffic flow, and enhance safety on local streets and along one of Southern California’s busiest freeways. The ceremony will feature remarks from Torrance Mayor George K. Chen, Public Works Director, Craig Bilezerian, and other key project partners.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. inside the George P. Johnson Parking Lot located at 18500 Crenshaw Boulevard. Entrance is at 186th Street on the east side of Crenshaw Boulevard.
