Torrance, Calif., May 1, 2024 – The City of Torrance Cultural Services Division is thrilled to celebrate its 2nd Annual TORRANCE SUMMER NIGHTS FESTIVAL presented by sponsor Torrance Refining Company LLC (Torrance Refining). From June 1 through August 31, 2024, TORRANCE SUMMER NIGHTS takes you on a cultural tour through an array of music, movies, art, and live theater. Admission is free for all events. TORRANCE SUMMER NIGHTS features an eclectic group of award-winning bands all presented at the Wilson Park Amphitheatre located at 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. Bring picnic baskets, blankets, and chairs for an enjoyable social event. Live theater brings Shakespeare by the Sea, a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s lost play Cardenio on July 27.
TRYST, the world’s largest Alternative International Art Fair for Artist-Run Spaces, and NOMAD, the largest contemporary pop-up in the U.S. returns this summer. The TRYST-NOMAD exhibitions will run concurrently at the Del Amo Crossing on Hawthorne Blvd, Friday through Sunday, Aug 23 – 25.
This year’s Festival introduces an exciting Disney-themed FAMILY KARAOKE GLOW PARTY at the George Nakano Theatre located at 3330 Civic Center Drive. All ages are welcome to come in costume, sing, dance, and celebrate songs from The Little Mermaid, Coco, Frozen, and more on August 10.
This year’s movie line-up includes three blockbuster hits suitable for the entire family. Bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, and chairs and enjoy the movies at dusk. This year’s featured movies include:
