The City of Torrance will celebrate their 59h Annual Armed Forces Day with their annual military concert. The 300th Army Band, “Hollywood’s Own” is Southern California’s only Army Reserve Band and serves the American Southwest Region and the 63rd Regional Support Command. Under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer Jeff Smith, the band travels coast-to-coast and internationally, performing in a wide variety of settings, including: military ceremonies, public concerts at home and abroad, school assemblies, educational outreach programs, festivals, and radio and television appearances. The primary mission of the 300th, along with all Army Bands, is to foster the support of the American people for our Armed Forces, tell the Army Story through music, support diplomatic and humanitarian efforts around the world, and to inspire our Soldiers to fight and win.
