Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Asia America Youth Symphony Concert

Founder, Music Director & Conductor DAVID BENOIT leads the multi-talented ASIA AMERICA YOUTH SYMPHONY through a varied program featuring the music from the films “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Whiplash," and works by Tchaikovsky, Bizet and Benoit. Featuring alumni who have moved on to become outstanding professional musicians and soloists: International Flute soloist ALBERT PAE, graduate of The Julliard School & Royal College of Music; virtuoso violinist ELEANOR DUNBAR, graduate from Southern Methodist University, is founder & leader of the Cezanne Quartet; saxophonist JUSTIN KLUNK, graduate from USC, performs with Arianna Grande; & jazz trumpeter SARA SITHI-AMNUAI, a recent graduate from UCLA.
