A famous story by Hans Christian Anderson where Kay, a young boy who is under the spell of the Snow Queen, is eventually saved by the tears of a young beautiful girl, Gerda.  Her tears wash out the shards of glass in his heart, which makes Kay cry, which washes out the shard of glass in his eyes and he again sees the beautiful world around him, breaking the spell of the Snow Queen, who is made entirely of ice.
