Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

January is Science Month! Come experience science-themed programs at all Torrance Libraries. These programs are free, and no registration is required, but spaces can get very crowded so please arrive on time. Sponsored by the Torrance Refining Company and the Friends of the Torrance Library. Fire & Ice - January 11 at 4:00 at the Walteria Library, January 18 at 4:00 at the Henderson Library, and January 20 at 1:00 at the Southeast Library.

Marvels of Motion - January 9 at 4:00 at the North Torrance Library, and January 19 at 4:00 at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library.

Up, Up, and Away - January 24 at 4:00 at the El Retiro Library.
