Tohoku Fair at Mitsuwa Marketplace
The “Rising Tohoku Food Fair,” which celebrates the charm and cultural diversity of the Tohoku region in the northeast of Japan, will take place November 2-6, 2017 at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance. This five day event aims to attract several thousand visitors--children and adults--to experience a selection of food from the Tohoku region.
The Rising Tohoku Food Fair presents diverse and flavorful food products originating from different prefectures of Tohoku.
The Rising Tohoku Food Fair not only celebrates the cultural diversity of the Tohoku region of Japan, it also promotes awareness of the ongoing post-earthquake recovery from damage suffered during the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
