The City of Torrance Public Works Department will conduct a neighborhood meeting to discuss the construction of the 186th Street Improvements at Columbia Park, Bailey Drive and 184th Street Storm Drain, Purche Avenue Storm Drain, and Torrance Boulevard Catch Basin Addition Projects. The four projects, at various locations in the City, will be completed by the same Contractor under one contract.
The 186th Street Improvement Project involves the construction of parking, sidewalk, and curb and gutter improvements along 186th Street between Ashley Avenue and Bailey Drive.
The Bailey Avenue and 184th Street Storm Drain Project will construct a new storm drain extending from Bailey Drive and along 184th Street to Prairie Avenue ranging in size from 18” to 30”.
The Purche Avenue Storm Drain will construct a new 30” storm drain along Purche Avenue and 182nd Street extending from 185th Street to Van Ness Avenue.
The Torrance Boulevard Catch Basin Addition Project will construct a catch basin and associated storm drain lateral on Torrance Boulevard between Crenshaw Boulevard and Date Avenue.
Please refer to the enclosed Project Location Maps and Project Fact Sheet. The projects are anticipated to run from August, 2017 to May, 2018. Construction of each project will be for a portion of this period. You will be notified in advance as to when work will be occurring in your particular neighborhood.
