Nature Journaling - Observational Drawing: A Home School Instructional Series, Where Art, Writing and Science Come Together
In the series of classes students will create a nature journal of their own drawings and field notes while studying the diversity and design of nature at the Madrona Marsh Preserve. TOPIC: TBA. Participants will learn the fundamentals of observational drawing used by the Renaissance masters. This series will include drawing, painting, calligraphy, scientific observation and questioning. Teaching is through demonstration, viewing historical masterworks, class discussion, and individual assistance, All lessons align with California State's Common Core curriculum guidelines. Open to adults and children (3rd grade and up) $20 per student per class, plus an annual $20 material fee. 4th Thursday of each month. Pre-registration is required.
