Join us in Torrance, CA for the next exciting installment of the acclaimed Summer in the City program offered by APA Los Angeles, this time in partnership with the City of Torrance!
The City of Torrance has a lot to offer, from major employment sectors to a rich history of local craft breweries and old town charm.

We’ll start the day off with a welcome and introduction at Centennial Plaza at El Prado Park with opening remarks from the Mayor of Torrance, Patrick J. Furey and insights from the Citys economic development and planning staff. Afterwards, we will take a walking tour through Old Torrance led by the Torrance Historical Society, stopping for coffee and snacks along the way. After the walking tour we will board a private Torrance Transit bus to check out the Torrance Bridge (with a special photo-op), Honda Headquarters, and the Torrance Transit Center development site. Finally, we will wrap up the day by visiting two local craft breweries Smog City Brewing Co. and Red Car Brewery getting to know the founders and learning about brewery tourism and economic development. We will finish the day off enjoying appetizers and craft beer at the garden patio at Red Car Brewery, which also happens to be the site of the old red car depot.
