Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Coastal Clean Up Day is the largest volunteer day on the planet, which is coordinated with the Ocean Conservancy, California Coastal Commission, L.A. Department of Beaches and Harbors and Heal the Bay, and we thank them for their continued support and guidance in helping us making this event a huge success every year. Torrance recognizes that by cleaning up the beaches, the community is participating in this global effort to keep our oceans healthy, to keep our water source healthy, and to keep our community healthy. As COVID restrictions have lifted across the state, many local organizers will be returning to in-person cleanups, depending on their local conditions. Partnering with the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, Team Torrance will be back on the beach participating for our record 26th year!

“Torrance Beach is a zero-waste site. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, bags, and reusable water bottles.”
