Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Live Music Fundraiser / Heartbreak Over Petty

Heartbreak Over Petty, a popular Southern California Tom Petty and classic rock tribute band, will be performing a benefit concert to help raise money for sets and costumes for the St. James School “Spring Sing” production of “Seussical The Musical.”

The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, May 27th / 7:00 pm at The End, located at 4525 C. Mayor, Torrance, CA 90505. Admission is $20 and all proceeds will go directly to the St. James School Spring Sing fund.

The band has graciously volunteered their talents to support the efforts of Ms. Meagan Carlson, the school’s music teacher for the last year, who has been working hard to enhance the music program since her arrival.

In addition to being a great opportunity to support local arts, the performance is especially meaningful to the band's drummer, who has two daughters enrolled in St. James School (ages 14 and 11).

Heartbreak Over Petty play clubs, events, and private parties. They recently played a sold-out 450 seat event at the Jonathan Club in Malibu. Other upcoming local appearances include the Trancas Market Summer Concert Series on June 23 and the new St. Rocke in Redondo Beach on August 3rd.

For more information about the band please visit their website at www.HeartbreakOverPetty.com.

The End has a full bar and dinner menu.

It’s sure to be an unforgettable evening of music and community support.
