Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Coastal Cleanup Day

Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer day on the planet, which is coordinated with the Ocean Conservancy, California Coastal Commission, L.A. Department of Beaches and Harbors and Heal the Bay, and we thank them for their continued support and guidance in helping us making this event a huge success every year. Torrance recognizes that by cleaning up the beaches, the community is participating in this global effort to keep our oceans healthy, to keep our water source healthy, and to keep our community healthy. Partnering with Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, Team Torrance will be back on the beach participating for our record 25th year! Visit www.TorranceCA.Gov/CoastalCleanup for more information.

Share your cleanup efforts with us!

Take a photo of yourself cleaning up trash and litter at the event and post it on social media. With hashtags #CoastalCleanUpDay and #TorranceCares and Tag @HealTheBay

Send a copy of the photo to CDDInfo@TorranceCA.Gov to be entered in a prize drawing! We will select three lucky winners and post their photo on our website.

Torrance Beach is a zero-waste site. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own bag/bucket, gloves and reusable water bottle.
