Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Seaside Heroes Park Beautification

Arrive anytime between 8 and 11 AM to join Jenna Christensen with Seaside Neighborhood Association and volunteers of all ages, children to seniors, who help keep the park beautiful. Students who need community service work hours can bring their forms to be signed after work is completed. The park runs between Anza Avenue (at East end of Lomita Blvd) and Kathryn Avenue and we meet at the Kathryn entrance by 22812 Kathryn Ave., Torrance, CA 90505. The name Seaside Heroes Park honors three young men from the neighborhood who lost their lives in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Residents collected donations for the memorial which you will see as you enter the park from the Kathryn entry.

For more information, contact Jenna at 310.920.9387 or homes@cjenna.com. For updates, information on the park and photos of the event, visit 'Seaside Heroes Park' on Instagram and Facebook
