Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

LOUIS CRUZ BELTRAN (Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation)

The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation presents LOUIS CRUZ BELTRAN in the Torino Festival Plaza, 3330 Civic Center Drive.

Blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with Jazz, Latin Jazz, Pop, and R&B influences, Louie Cruz Beltran is an entertainer at heart - an entertainer who is also a superbly skilled conguero, timbalero, and vocalist.  In short, Louie is the complete package.  Louie's many loyal fans agree, making him a popular attraction at venues from intimate Jazz clubs to the Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.  Variety called Louie's Playboy Jazz Festival performance, "...a triumph...a sharp, uncluttered Jazz ensemble."

Dinners are available for pre-order only.  Options are: Charcuterie Box - European cheese assortment of English Bleu, Spanish Manchego, and French Brie; Italian meats of sliced prosciutto and salami accompanied with our house-made candied pecans, fig jam, and grilled flat bread.  Sesame Chicken Salad - Fresh chopped romaine lettuce, sliced almonds, grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, julienned red bell peppers, topped with sesame seeds and crispy wontons served with sesame dressing.  Hummus Box - Traditional hummus topped with feta cheese, olives, and tomato, sumac, and ale-infused flat bread.  All dinners must be pre-ordered no later than the Monday prior to the event at www.torrancearts.org.
