As traditional small business lending has declined, many small business owners are paying a high cost for short-term loans and finding it difficult to find a trustworthy lenders that provide affordable, transparent and responsible loans. During this session, we will focus on giving businesses insight into how to navigate the current landscape. You will learn how to avoid predatory lenders and receive information about responsible lenders that are passionate about connecting your small business to affordable capital.
Lindsay Chung is a Community Development Officer at Opportunity Fund with over 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. She is passionate about financial literacy, economic empowerment and helping small businesses succeed. After studying accounting and finance at the University of Colorado, she focused on improving the financial capacity of nonprofits and small businesses. Lindsay fulfilled a lifelong dream when she became a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana. While serving with the Peace Corps in Africa she worked with her first microfinance project, trained organizations on economic empowerment and developed a youth center. Lindsay loves helping small businesses achieve their goals by connecting them with funding and resources.
