Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

Battle Of The Bands

Torrance, CA — The West High Entertainment Unit Parent Association would like to invite you to its 34th Annual South Bay Invitational Field Show Tournament on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 4pm to 10pm. The much anticipated event will take place at the West High School Fred Peterson Football Stadium in Torrance.
West High Entertainment Unit's South Bay Invitational is the premier marching band competition in the South Bay. As one of the first 2019 field show tournaments adjudicated by the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SBCOA), various high school bands from Southern California will come together and compete for the prestigious first place title, and a chance to secure their spot in the 2019 SBCOA Field Championships in November.
As a parent-led organization, we take great pride in the effort and sacrifice that all students participating in this event have put forth to make this competition possible.
We kindly ask you to help us invite the South Bay communities to this magnificent event — full of great music, pageantry, food, and above all, incredibly talented
students doing what they love to do.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance on our website at www.whsentertainmentunit.com. Event prices are as follows:
