Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation presents from their Special Events Series: MIRAI in the James Armstrong Theatre, 3330 Civic Center Drive.

From acclaimed director Mamoru Hosoda (Summer Wars, Wolf Children) and Japan’s Studio Chizu comes Mirai, a daringly original story of love passed down through generations.  An Official selection at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, Golden Glove Award Nominee for Best Animated Feature Film and 2019 Academy Award Nominee for Best Animated Film.  The epic capstone of director Mamoru Hosoda’s career, Mirai is a sumptuous, magical and emotionally soaring adventure about the ties that bring families together and makes us who we are.  In Japanese with English subtitles.

This is a free event.  Seating will be on a first come first served basis.  Doors open 1 hour prior to show time.
