Bona-fide Torrance-based, non-profit groups may submit events to be included in the Torrance citywide calendar pending approval. The City of Torrance Citywide Calendar System Administrator (Office of Cable and Community Relations) is responsible for determining which events are appropriate for posting and then approving a calendar entry. The administrator also has the capability to submit the event to other calendars so that your event may be posted on more than one calendar if appropriate. Events must occur within Torrance city limits to be considered for inclusion and submitted within the categories already identified within the calendar. Find out How To Submit.

THE 6TH ANNUAL TORRANCE POLICE DEPARTMENT AWARDS & APPRECIATION LUNCHEON (The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce)

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend THE 6TH ANNUAL TORRANCE POLICE DEPARTMENT AWARDS & APPRECIATION LUNCHEON in the Toyota Meeting Hall, 3330 Civic Center Drive.

Honoring the brave officers of the Torrance Police Department who, while serving in an official or unofficial capacity, have distinguished themselves through outstanding performance above and beyond the call of duty and/or standard job responsibilities.  Master of Ceremonies will be award-winning journalist, Emmett Miller, who spent 11 years with KTLA 5 in Los Angeles, anchoring both the morning show and the 10 O’clock News.  Emmett Miller has received the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism, five Emmy Awards, a Golden Mike Award, and two Associated Press Awards for Investigative Journalism and enterprise Journalism.
