Los Cancioneros Master Chorale is celebrating its 70th consecutive concert season with artistic director Allen Robert Petker and accompanist Patty Breitag. The chorale began in 1949 when a dozen neighbors in the Hollywood Riviera section of Torrance formed a small community chorus as an independent, nonprofit organization. The founding singers selected a Spanish name meaning “The Singers” to reflect the Spanish heritage of the South Bay and Peninsula area. This joy-filled holiday concert will feature renowned conductor Robert Shaw with orchestrator Robert Russell Bennett creating a medley of favorite carols for choir and orchestra that will have you humming along.
