The City of Torrance officially welcomed Linda Barnett as its newly appointed District 4 City Councilmember during Tuesday evening’s City Council meeting. The Council voted 6-0 to appoint Barnett to fill the vacancy created when former District 4 Councilmember Sharon Kalani was elected Mayor and assumed her new role on July 14, 2026. Barnett was sworn in following the vote.
