The Torrance Public Library is key to a free and informed community

We are the Torrance Public Library Foundation.  Our goal is raising and making money for needed construction and renovation projects for the Torrance Public Library system that includes six libraries.  We also seek special opportunities, such as homework centers for students, and enrichment for Torrance citizens of all ages and needs.  The Library receives funding through the city's budget, but in these tough times, not enough to cover the costs of many special activities to maintain a top-notch program.

Recently the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library was renovated, and the refurbishment of the five branch libraries is underway.  Many worthy projects remain undone, including building a new facility to replace the aging North Torrance branch.

We thank new and returning Torrance Public Library Foundation members for your generosity.  If you are not a member, please consider joining; your help is needed and appreciated.
