Geoff Rizzo was elected to the City Council on June 3, 2014. He was re-elected on June 7, 2016.
He currently serves as chair of the Community Planning and Design Committee, and is a member of the Employee Relations and Public Safety Committee and the Finance and Governmental Operations Committee. He also serves as a member of the Special Standing Armed Forces Day Committee and the Special Standing Federal Legislative Advocacy Committee. He is the Alternate Voting Delegate to the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County.
Previously, Rizzo served as Chair of the Transportation Committee.
Prior to his election to the Council, Geoff served as chair of the Planning Commission.
Geoff Rizzo has been involved in the community as a Boy Scout Pack leader, AYSO coach and youth football commissioner.
A 57-year resident of Torrance, Geoff is a graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School. He earned an associate's degree from El Camino College and bachelor's and master's degrees in public administration from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills.
Geoff Rizzo is a retired lieutenant with Torrance Police Department. He and his wife, Donna, have two adult children.
